Denim and Diamonds – Glamour ball
In 2004 an extraordinary group of women from Worcester decided to launch a fundraising project for the Institute for the Blind, in the form of a prestige Ball hosted every second year. This project has exceeded our expectations and is now a unique event on the calendar of Institute for the Blind.
This special event will take place on 26 March 2011 in the Pietman Hugo Hall, Worcester in conjunction with the “Vryburgers”. The theme for this year’s ball is “Denim and Diamonds” and it is sure to be another unforgettable evening with music and a three course meal. Boomroc Productions under management of Arné von Mollendorf will see to the music.

Institute for the Blind, Pioneer Printers and Pioneer School for the Blind Golf Day
Our Annual Golf Day Fudnraiser will this year be taking place on 13 May 2011. This fundraising initiative is a much sought after event on the Worcester Calender and will once again take the form of a 4-ball Golf tournament. The Corporate Sector has been supporting this event enthusiastically for the past 12 years and attracts 200 participants every year. The tournament will take place at the Worcester Golf Club with a special prize-giving the evening. All proceeds will be channelled towards the upliftment of visually impaired persons. Entries are R2,000 per team and sponsorships are most welcome!
