During Eye Care Awareness Week 11 – 15 October 2010, various activities were presented by the Pioneer School, the Institute for the Blind and Pioneer Printers to create an awareness among the public about eye care and the services we have to offer visually impaired persons. Activities during the week ranged from free eye screening tests and exhibitions to information sessions and orientation and mobility demonstrations. During the orientation and mobility demonstration in the Mountain Mill Mall, Worcester, six prominent figures residing in Worcester were invited to be guided blindfolded through the Mall to experience blindness.
